Came in today Sept 25 at around 12:30. Had horrible experience from middle aged woman with dirty blonde short curly hair that was in the front area. I was looking for a certain item and went down an isle that I assumed it would be in. Didn't see the item. As I was about to leave I saw this employee near the doors sanitizing baskets that people use. I asked her "do you guys have this item? I went down this isle and didn't see it". Her answer was " Then No!" and she stormed off. Couldn't give a customer 30 seconds of her time. Not sure why this woman works in retail and customer service when she doesn't like doing her job which is helping customers. Maybe she is just grumpy that she has to work on a Saturday?
I usually love taking my kids here even just for something to do, and I come to this store for all types of things also, esp during Halloween, Christmas, etc. Today we went to bulk barn first bought some candies. We walked into Dollarama eating our candies. After paying for many items the cashier, a younger lady with short hair firmly said to me and my kids. "There is a sign at the front of the door that says no outside food or drinks." We were chewy candy basically the equivalent to chewing gum. I have seen people strolling drinking timmies, Starbucks, etc. And I have also been guilty of enjoying a coffee and strolling the shopping area and Dollarama and not once has anyone given me trouble for it. I would even understand if they said not to bring a Starbucks or timmies in, but candy. I thought this was uncalled for and slightly rude, and could of been let go since I clearly came to buy many items, made me not want to come back and spend my money here. Esp if that employee is working.
Good service, organized establishment, our cashier was nice. Got to love filling up a cart and only spending 20 bucks. The older lady stocking the shelf could of been more polite. Maybe she was having a bad day but no reason to be grumpy to your customers. Other then that pretty good place. It's what you would expect from a Dollarama.
Never had any issues with this store until my last visit. The store is cramped as is but on my last visit there were employees all bunched around the front of the store making getting in and then doing anything near the front of the store difficult as there wasn't a way to maintain physical distance. Then when I went to leave the employees were gathered around the exit making getting it difficult to get out of the store. It seemed to be just one employee causing the issue by talking about absolutely nothing and was likely his attempt at hitting on his co-workers, once he's removed or straightened out the store should go back to normal.
Staff & customers were friendly . However witnessed 3 vehicles parked in fire zone in front of dollarama , all young drivers in their 20's with no disabilities for them or their passengers , illegally parking there to do a quick run in purchase
Well stocked and clean and cashier was so so helpful
I was able to find everything I needed. However I went to go pay and all the tickets said 3.00 but when it was scanned it showed 3.50. I brought that up and she said there was nothing she can do about it. I feel they need to honor the price shown on product. Made me turned off by this store.
Every Christmas shopping should start from here. If you're looking for a gift wrapping papers, ribbons, cookie tins, Christmas cards, tree ornaments, look no further. It is one of the best Dollaramas around in terms of choices and the products available does look like they are a good quality. Aside from Christmas shopping, it has most household requirements, bath mats, shower caddies, or most kitchen appliances. Although I would recommend staying away from plastic ladles and spatulas, as they are not really resistant to much heat
